My View
Asambhav Movie 1984 Cast
Sidekick, Fighter, Boxer, Villian, Character Actor, father, Uncle : Versatile actor Sharat saxena has been there done that.
“Those days, having a good phsique was not as important as it is considered today”, recalls saxena- Infact having a good physique, made him fit for bashing by the Hero, of which he feels he has done a good job of so far.He got his first break as a Henchman in Benaam in 1974 — and did roles of the Villians sidekick & mainly heavy action sequence..Infact his movie Boxer with Mithun Chakravorty was very much talked about, for its boxing scenes – Infact, saxena pretty much looked the part of a boxer with his towering phsique.. The movie didnt do too well, but earned great reviews
Asambhav Movie 1984 Movie
This is the role, that would later fetch Saxena, the most coveted role of his career, Ghulam – Aamir khan, wanted to have somebody who looked a real boxer, play the part of Ronnie, the muscleman.. Ghulam released in 1998, got Saxena 5 nominations for the filmfare award… Also his role of a Gentle father in “Vivek Oberoi, Rani Mukherjee starrer Saathiya, earned him great reviews and he has since played many character & supporting roles — Krish, Tumko Na Bhool payenge, Baghban, Baabul, Most recently, he worked along with veterans Faaruque Shaikh, Satish shah, Raghubir Yadav in Club 60, where he essayed the delicate ole with great elan & amplomb ..He played the main villians role in the lesser known but critically accliamed movie – JohnDay with Naseeruddin Shah & Randeep Hooda..
Blogger Recommendation
Sharat Saxena got his 1st big break with Ghulam. thats when the Industry & audiences took note of this powerful performer. He moved into the roles of a Supporting actor with the 2003 release Saathiya – playing the role of a Old middle class Father of 2 girls & did a splendid job..he has since done supporting roles regularly with A list banners. Would love to see Saxena explore his natural gift for comedy (he did a brilliant role in Vishwaatma, of Police Commissioner,Naseerudin Shahs Boss in the movie ) Also one would like to see him essay powerful negative roles – He has the screen presence & personality to carry of such roles
